We're flying down to Disney World on Saturday. It's the first time I've been. we're taking our 15 year old son and 17 year old daughter. Any suggestions?

Where are you going to be staying? How long?

What kind of suggestions are you looking for?

We're staying at the Carribean Beach resort (one of the Disney hotels). We'll get there late saturday and leave the following Sunday, so we've got a lot of time. I know we're doing the Disney things, and I'd like to know what to steer clear of, and what we shouldn't miss, both in the parks and around Orlando. We may even drive to the space center & beach one day.

Make use of the "Extra Magic Hours"!! Depending on the day each park opens 1 hour early and one will stay open 3 hours late.

Also make sure you get to the Animal Kingdom early and take the Safari ride first. This is the best way to see as many of the animals on the ride as possible, as the heat of the day will make them inactive.

Been to Disney Land but not Disney World and well it was like 17 years ago. OMG, I suddenly feel old.

What's everyone else doing for vacations? Hubby and I are planning to be in Seattle for the NHRA Drag Races - July 18-20th. We got married at that track 10 years ago in July so it's a celebration and a fun time.

Our third trip to Disney World was last year. My son (16 at the time) hated the Magic Kingdom this time (too cool for that kids stuff) but I think he would of loved Epcot. My daughter (10 at the time) love the Magic Kingdom. We didn't stay at their resort, but we spent the entire day at the park, not leaving until after seeing the parade and the fireworks. It was only like 250° F that day.

I am pretty sure that the next time my kids get to go to any Disney park they will be taking their children, because 3 times is enough for me.
