Congrats! I surprised my wife by proposing only 3 weeks after having met. Been married 5 years now though it feels like we just met. Time flies when you are having fun I guess

I was a basically a 22 yr old useless, workaholic, long haired, Harley riding smart ass, luckily my wife saw through all of that, accepted my proposal and over 23 yrs has helped my have two fine sons and to become an okay human !!! Congratulations and good luck to you and your bride to be !!! The greatest challenges and the best times of your life are just on the horizon.

Congrats. I've been married for 10+ years. They say that once you make the ten year mark you've passed the most difficult part of matrimony. I tend to disagree

There is also the empty nest syndrome...

Congratulations, my friend! It reminds me of a thing my friend recently told me: He's been dating the same gal for about a year, and says he expects to propose to her within the next year or so. His rationale is as follows: "You know, there comes a time in a man's life when you've been with the same girl for a while, and you finally realize: You know what? I'm never gonna find happiness. I might as well ask this girl to marry me." And the rest is history.........

On my end, though, been happily married for 6 years, and it's been great! As of yesterday, I'm also done with my Masters degree, so now life can begin!
Hooray - more time to spend with the kids - finally!
