Yep, They have a Giant dog park, atleast that is what i tell myself. Sorry for your lose. There so much apart of one's family its not even a "dog" its another Family Member. I lost my baby 2yr's ago. Still miss her so much. Never could bare to throw away her name/rabbies tags. Still have them on the Chain. That was the hardest thing to do was to remove her tags. Brings me tear's whenever i hear about one's family member passing i start thinking about her.

Sorry for you loss.

I now how you feel. Years ago I had to put down Ninny, my Siberian Husky, after 15 years of loyalty.

Eddie and Mikey wish to send their condolences as well.

Oh i'm sorry. It's tough especially when it's unexpected. I know it... Tomorrow (December 22) will exactly 1 year since my mix Misty was killed in our own backyard... and I still haven't gotten over it. Our other dog went into depression and the best thing you can do is to keep them occupied so she doesn't have too much time to miss her. I will pray for you and your doggies.

So sorry about your loss. It never gets easy, but all of us that have had such joy with our dogs sharing their (too short) lives with us, share your sadness. Miss them all. For some reason dogs do not seem to respond to any current cancer treatments, so an early discovery would likely not have changed the outcome.

Thankyou all for your kind words!

The wife and I never had children. Actually we cant and never adopted. We decided to raise the furry four legged kind of kids.

Sara was special from the time we picked her up in Oregon till the day she passed.

We drove up to Ore. from the bay area to pick her up from the breeder. We needed another golden for a play mate for our first golden. We decided on a female and wanted one for the show ring.

Sara has been all over California, Oregon, Washington, and Canada competing in the show ring. She had a wonderful professional handler that hauled her around in one of those huge million dollar motor homes. She got her Canadian champion title in 2 days and had her American title by 3 years old.

She was such a princess and she new it. She would come to you and sit then bark at you. This meant either she wanted a cookie or she was out of water. She would grab your hand a pull you to let her outside. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon she always came to me to go into the bedroom for our afternoon nap and also came to us at 9:00 pm for her bedtime cookie. The only bad habit she had was if you were on the phone she would bark at you. Never could break her of that.

She destroyed every toy she got. She hated squeakers in toys and would pull them out. She could shred those hard rubber balls that the adds say are indestructible. They needed to use her to test there toys.

Thank you all for the great comments and im sure we will recover but we will always miss her.

Sorry to read about your lost.

I lost my Yellow Lab of 13 years a little over 5 years ago. I still miss him greatly today. To me he was like loosing a brother. Every where I went he went.

The sadness will get better. But we never forget all the love and great companionship our animals give us.
