Exclamation Well it Happened

I've been kicked off of HHRClub...because I had an opinion different from the webmaster.

two nights ago I made a post crtical of the need to pay 29.99 for access to all of the forums...shortly after making that post it was deleted....I then followed up with`a post saying "and of course my post was deleted" with a link to chevyhhr.net in it...I've been on forums for years and never seen the censorship that was displayed over there or not being allowed to link to sites....

the next day I get this in the mail....

Edit: Removed Email. Emails are private and may not be published in public w/o the authors permission
I emailed back asking what policy I had broke and why my account has been closed due to an "attitude"...

no response...this guy is just in it to make a buck and not to actively promote the HHR...

thanks...like I said in my original post over on the other website...I was a very active member of ScionLife and was amazed that this guy was trying to get people to pay under the guise of it being a "club" and the fact that that you get a customer help line...a help line for a website? much less a forum website...

if anything this is going to just push me to increase involvement on this site...

Yep. THere was a new post on the "other" site this morning:

I found another Site

There is a website called www.chevyhhr.net It's very easy to use there fourms and very user friendly.

----------

Vist chevyhhr.net

I Love it!

BTW. I have been quietly monitoring both sites for a while. I see no reason to pay for something over there that I can get here for free. The same knowledge base is available here. Props to ya!

I agree. Having visited both sites (in addition to being part of many other online forums), I was greatly disappointed to see the $30 fee being pushed. In fact, after sharing my purchasing experience on the "other" site, I received this response:

Nice HHR.
One thing missing from the list.

Become a member of the HHR Club

And this from the Moderator! I was offended, and don't post there anymore. It's also interesting to note that "other" site was started by a guy who started the PT Cruiser forum. It appears to me he is just in it for the money.

I would really like to see ChevyHHR.net take off - and will do my best to promote it to others. Additionally, I'll gladly pay the $5-and some change to "be a member" and support this site!

Just my .02

I've paid my $5...as it supports the site and I get free decals which I was already going to buy so in essence I paid $3 to become a member...w00t!

Same here - done! I'm certain other members will be migrating over here eventually. I hope JonelZ has plans for a "Store" of some sort. It would be nice to have a place onsite to have some accessories available.

Se ya!
