yeah i recommend a short engagement. Never understood how people get engaged and then get married 3 or 4 years later. I proposed to my wife in December, and got married in July. It was a bit short, and since i was in my senior year for graphic design, i had a ton of work and didn't have time to help out much, so that kind of sucked. But i wouldn't have wanted to wait an entire another year.
