Canon AE-1..... got one of those.

Can't beat real film, IMHO.

I have a Camedia too, but the SmartMedia cards died.

I see most re-size, if I am going to take pics I want to save, I'll use my good camera. Most of the time, it's just a quick photo op for forum pics.

mongo-I've seen adapters to go from smart media (lucky for me the SM cards still work) to Secure Digital-the only issue would be that in order for the camera to work the card door must be closed due to a micro switch. I don't know if the adapter has a "nib" that presses against the micro switch.

mongo-just a thought.

I always clean my SM slot with a kit I got from radio shack. The slot the card goes into get VERY dirty & contaminated. Get a cleaning kit (try a good camera store also) and clean it a couple of time & let it dry. Also clean the card surface. The kits are cheap. Usually SM cards never go bad. Ressurect that great camera!

I use my Nikon Coolpix for everything...I've just been uploading them to the forum gallery and pulling the pics from there (per the advice of one Mr. Dayton :)

Would love to get a digital SLR, but that might be a ways down the line. My buddy has one, so if I need any really good beauty pics (which I want) he said he'd happily ablidge.

2 of my 3 cards are dead. My card reader in my computer can't even read them. Unfortunately, the only working card is 8MB, good for about 30 pics at highest res.

That camera takes some damn good pics though. The optics are top notch.

Actually, The HP C200 has pretty good optics, as can be seen in how clear the web pics are. The laptop's webcam is 1.3 MP, a little higher than the HP, but the pics are lousy.

Olympus C-3000

I have 3-128MB cards, 1-64MB, 1-32MB & some 8MB.
I use the res that gets me 169 pix/128MB
I filled 2 and started the third on one trip.

No problems with the 128s, I never have needed the others.

These days you could buy a good 10MP cam with 16GB storage for less than what I paid for my 3-128MB cards.

I got my wife the $150 Kodak for X-Mas on sale for $90

I use M$ Paint to hide the reg plate & M$ Photo Editor to crop/resize.
I had to DL M$ PE because it doesn't come with XP.
I know I could DL PS25 or whatever version they're up to.
I tried PS7 and didn't like it but it could do some fun shiznit.

MONGO - Want to buy the 64 & 32 for a decent price?

mongo-(and anyone else) The color saturation is great on the older Olympus Cameras. Too bad you don't live nearby-could barrow when you needed to. Try this instead (worth it at $40.00) or shop around.

not trying to ruin anyones dealings but it seems like you would be able to get cards bigger then that for less then what it would cost to ship those ones.

I picked up a 20mb/s Extreme II SD card for $25 shipped (overkill for your needs). I'd fill up a 32mb card in about 3-4 shots...

SM has a 128MB limit.

Sort of like getting a betamax

That holds 169 pix at Hi def setting on our 3MPixel
