I try not to grocery shop after work because Wal-Mart is full of screamers. These kids are tired and hungry but the parents put their own needs in front of the kids. The crying and often screaming drives me crazy. I did not let my boys cry for no reason. You know the old saying "stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about!" It worked!

The only choice you have is C unless you know the family. You may have some success talking to the parent. They might then let you try to comfort the child. The age of the child can greatly affect the action you take.

You should add D) Slap the parents and tell them to do their job. I HATE hearing whining kids at a restaurant. (puts on flame suit and prepares for onslaught )

Sometimes it should be the reverse of this statement.
