What your car says about you

Chevys proudly proclaim of their owners, "I don't use the Internet."

Apparently we are pretty dumb too:

"Honda owners are usually pragmatic and well educated; 70% boast a college degree or higher, compared with 35% of Chevy owners and 45% of Ford owners.

It's true; my best friend, professor of economics, wants to buy the Prius Honda, He begins by analyzing the cold numbers of emissions and I, who tried unsuccessfully to dissuade.
But where is the soul of this car? what it say?

They can have the dry folks who just need 4 wheels to get to their stuffy jobs.

I am happy with my Chevy folks who care about each other, who can't wait to get together with one another and who love their cars for what they are and what they invoke in people's emotions.

For what it's worth I, and my wife, both are Degree-holding Chevy owners. So is my mother, both of my Aunts, one of my Uncles and quite a few of my cousins. My grandmother leases but close enough for me... she leased a Chevy and has 2 bachelor degrees.

Cool Honda owners..

I have worked on cars, in the automotive electronic accessory field since I was 16. This includes stereo, video, GPS, cellular....If it was electronic and you wanted installed I would do it. (Put a record player in the trunk of a 57 chevy once) I turn 54 this month and I have always said that the Honda automobiles were just like appliances, your frig, washer and dryer, ETC....And most of there owners had always treeted them that way. Until the last few years...But that started in Japan. These were the only cars the general public could afford. American machines, which the younger Japanese would love to own, were out of their reach. So they started to customize what they drove....Honda's....I still look at those cars as an appliance. Remember the first Honda's, Toyota's and Mazda,s...Just a box with 4 wheels and a motor. Oh yea, cup holders too...American cars in the 70's did not have cup holders. That is something the Japanese gave to us "Convenince" accessory's.... The American market is what made Honda start adding "Luxury" items to their cars. Leather seat's, sunroof's,...ETC...So if you want a frig with wheels (and a cup holder) or a car with a "Soul" you have to go American....Nuff said....Ohno (Rick)

Aside from a couple of brief statistics, that was a pretty useless article.
