My given name is Cecil. I was named after my grandfather. I was going to be named Donald after my uncle, but he unexpectedly passed awat 6 days before I was born and my grandma asked my mom to pick another name because she couldn't bear to hear donald. I have had the pleasure of meeting 5 other Cecil's in my life and I love the uniqueness of my name. BTW it is pronounced (seesul) not like Cecil fielder the MLB player.
