I never had the discipline to join any branch of our armed forces myself. But I have several buddies and family members that have served and it seems like at least half of my high school buddies joined either the navy or air force. A lot of my current friends, my boss, and several coworkers are ex-marines. I agree with the above statement that even if you don't agree with the war always support our troops.

This is one of the biggest computer geeks/nerds you'll ever meet! Might make ya think twice about what a computer guru looks like now days!

USMC!

Off the bus after a 6 month deployment to the middle east.
To me, this picture says that he sure is tierd, glad to be home with family but is ready to go back with a smile when asked! (well, thats what a proud MOMMA sees!)

Was aboard the USS Duluth, now decommissioned. Was amoung the first to arrive because they were in the area for the Tsunami relief efforts in Sumatra, then off to other locations!

Artical he wrote about his stop there.

LOL, PS, when I first asked him what he thought of the HHR, he thought it was ugly. I think he was thinking of that other car.... you know the one...When I told him that was another car, he changed his tune! Now he thinks it's cool!

Ditto for me CH! I never joined but I work with a WHOLE lot of former military folks, mostly Marines. Looking back, if I had it to do over again, I'd probably have joined. At almost 43 now, I don't think they'd want me! lol

Okay in 1988-1994 served in 3rd Battalion 9th Infantry regiment "Manchus" combat in Panama, peacekeeping mission in Egypt, more trips to Panama and jungle school. Army electronics a couple of NCO of the year awards and more stories than you can imagine...Here's a quick one, reading for a patrol in panama, a young LT walks up to a group of NCOs...he liked us...when one of the platoon sergeants asked him if his feet hurt...the LT said "no, why"...the platoon Sergeant's reply...your boots are on the wrong feet...The LT was a graduate of West Point...

Yep, We always say that it takes a college degree to break the plane and a High school diploma to fix it.
