Where Do You Work?
After 41 years and 10 months at Chrysler, Daimler-'f'in'-Chrysler laid me off my management job, kept me from going back to the union, gave me half a pension and did not pay me what had been promised if I was laid off. The Germans said promises were made by Chrysler, not Daimler-'f'in'-Chrysler! So now I am basically a nightwatchman at GM's Detroit/Hamtramck "Poletown" plant that makes the Buick Lucerne and Cadillac DTS.
I work with my dad and uncle. My grandpa started the company back in the 50s and were keeping it going and growing everyday. Stinson Brothers Construction.. anything on a home can be done. New house, Remodel, W/e. Roof, Concrete, Dry wall, Carpentry, Decks, anything.. its fun. I enjoy it. Always something different, not your normall 8-5 behind a desk or on a phone or sumthing.
I am the plant engineer at a large commercial bakery in Boston. I have a crew and we keep the machines humming. We modify to produce the products we want and if they don't make it, we invent it. I have 1 patent in my name and didn't bother on 3 other machines. (sold two of the patented one) The place keeps me busy but it is fun, and HOT this time of year!
