Williys pickup project

It's home now. It was someone else's unfinished project so there's a bit of work before I can drive it. No alternator belt and an silly essentially nonadjustable alternator mount so I need to rework that, then convert it back to gasoline from propane. Not that I don't like propane, Just nowhere to fill it up near me. It's got a 350 Chevy connected to the stock 3 speed trans with external overdrive and transfer case so everything after the engine needs replacing. but getting an alternator belt on it and putting the carb back on and it will be driveable. Then I need to lower it so it fits in the garage. 3" by putting 55 series tires on it and for now, I'll go ghetto with lowering blocks, Somewhere between 2 and 4". It's my new project.

First pictures. Close to running, but won't start yet. Seems to have gas in the carb, next check spark.

So, your Wild Willys is Wonky? Hopefully it’s something simple.

I love it, that's a nice looking truck. I look forward to seeing it when it's done.

I forgot, as a kid, a neighbor had a stock one like this, & his had a dump bed. Looked just like your bed, but it had hydros for the dump.
It was green & 1950 ish ? But cool ride.
