These are coming soon...maybe when the economy comes back, GM will build something like this to compete:

Yeah, I just saw an article about that in Motor Trend....very neat. Competes with the Sprinter, which has been around for how many years now with NO competition! And you see them all over the place....at least around here!

I lease vehicles to federal agencies. We try very hard to stay away from Sprinters, too damn expensive.

We stick with breadtruck, step vans, cut aways, what ever you want to call them.....

Yes. It's good to see more of these vehicles making it over. I like the Sprinter vans, but agree that they are way too pricey. That's Mercedes Benz for ya. These Transits are supposedly going to be much less expensive.

Another vehicle that I would like to see is something along the lines of the KEI class Japanese trucks and microvans. I had a little Daihatsu Hijet minitruck registered for on road use for 10 months. It was horribly uncomfortable for anything beyond an hour, but I could make that thing carry insane loads, and loved how I could convert it from a pickup to a flatbed and back in minutes.

They're making a big hit with the Class B motorhome group in Europe, the same way that the Sprinter is doing it over here. Many are willing to give up some space to get better than 8mpg traveling the countryside.
