wonder if you can help

Got an 08 Toyota Camry that keeps having the check engine light come on, wich I have cleared by just disconnected the battery and it stays off for a day or two. I finally was able to get a code reader and its giving me a code of P0000, but cant seem to figure out what this code is for, any idea or a place I can find it at? Any help with out having to take the car to the dealer would be great since the dealers really suck around here.

The problem is most likely that your using the wrong scanner. You have a car that is likely to use the CAN system and your probably using a old style OBD II scanner. There is no code P0000 which is what makes me think your using the wrong style scanner.

old style obd II scanner? Im not sure what CAN is but I just got this scanner and it says it compatible with all 07-09 models and makes. I thought obd II was the standard scanner now a days. Thats what my dad uses and the mechanics aroung here.

Okay, if it says it's compatible then it is using CAN protocol. Not sure why your getting an invalid code then.
