You need to drive Peugeot, Renault, Seat and some VW models to know what is really a crappy car.

 

1980, battleship gray, Pontiac Sunbird... it was so slow. I was pulled over once and the cop said I was doing 80. I looked back at my car and said "In this car? really?" - he realized his mistake and let me go.

The dash would become a blur from shaking so badly at 65mph.

I did drop a tree on it once when 30 miles out in the woods. Laid that joker right across the hood. Cut the tree away to reveal a heavily dented front boot, and shattered windshield... and drove off in it. They made cars out of real steel back then.

 

One of the worst I drove was a Jag. X-Type. Biggest mistake Jag ever made; making a car from an outdated european Ford Contour platform. Made my '81 AMC Spirit look reliable and fun to drive!
Actually, the AMC was a blast, just not durable by any means. Paid 800 for it and dumped another 2500 keeping it going for a few years until I could buy a real car. Simply the worst winter car ever made!
