Would you buy this HHR?

Wife needs a new car.
A body kit and new hood would make it perfect.

What do you think? Worth it?

No....

Unless you can do all the work yourself.

repair costs will total to a number that, when added to the cost of the vehicle, will be retail or slightly above.

Not worth the aggrevation it in my book.

I have to agree with Snoopy. You know you'll need hood, bumper, grill, fendor at least and who know what you'll need that can't be seen.

The radiator has been pushed in a few inches (photo #9).

Given the lack of space between the rad and the front of the motor, that's enough reason to say no to it. Who knows what is broken that can't be seen.

That's borderline acceptable in my opinion and would depend on what's damaged that you can't see. A guy I know had his wrecked similar to that and his fixed up nicely. Even had it two toned while he was at it.

Offer them around six grand and it may be worth the effort. Lots of hidden dangers that may not show until many miles later.

Sometimes a tranny gear does not take to well to an impact but does not show it right away. The tectonics of the vehicle have been compromised, you'd have a lot better piece of mind getting an '07 as they close them out.

Buy a new one, or a nice used one from a reputable dealer. Why get stuck with a problem child that will cost you in the end?
