2006 sparkplugs

Alright my car has hit 90,000 miles so I bought some new plugs. The ones in the car the electrode tip is almost gone. The question I am having is the dealer ship sold me ac delco 41-105s. So I get home and pull one out and there 41-981. So I call the dealer back and ask if they have them instead, of coarse they don't but the service guy says there the same. Just looking at them you can see the difference, the 41-105s have roughly 1/8" to 1/4" more thread on them. While I pulled out the owners manual and its say that it takes 41-981s. He ran the last 6 digits of my vin and said it takes the 41-105s and that's what it left the factory with.

I call a second dealership and basically he told me that the 41-981 wont fit in the car, even though I just pulled one out. He said I need a 41-103.

Sorry about the long post but does anybody know what sparkplugs will fit my 2.2 or if the 41-105s will work?

The 41-981 was superceded three times. It is now a 41-103, which is GM part #12625058. I am getting this from the 2011 owners manual.

That's what is confusing me some places say the 41-103 is for 07-up 2.2 while the 41-105 is 00-06 2.2.

How are things going with the spark plug situation? Were you able to get this cleared up or would you still like assistance with this?

I apologize for the time delay in getting with you about this, but I had the last two days off since I am in the office today and tomorrow. If you would like to provide me with your VIN, I can do research on my end.

I hope you are having a great holiday weekend.

I just put 41-103s on mine (at 89000), it is a 2.4.
Really easy job-done in about 30 minutes.

The old plugs tips looked to be about 50-40%.
