Question 2010 Chevy HHR LS Trouble lights

Trouble lights that recently came on at 135,797 miles on my HHR: ABS and Traction control lights

Flashing messages: Service ESC, Service Traction

Sticker from my Chevy dealer says: Next recommended Service: 11/13/2019 or 138,395 miles

My HHR has never had the 100,000 mile manufacturer recommended service or tune up either. Any thoughts on what may be causing these error lights to come on?

No. 100,000 mile checkup is BS. tuneup is new plugs at 100,000 miles. Any visit to a dealership besides warranty or recall is uncalled for.

Is the check engine light on?

Your 2010 HHR might have several things happening , if the CEL is lit, have the codes read at your local parts palace.
please write down the codes and post them here , like P0010.
if you go to the parts palace have them check the charging system and load test the battery.
our trucklets don't like a weak battery

No the check engine light is not on although it has come on and off in the past recently. Should I get a tune up now that I'm over 136,000 miles?

When the check engine light came on back in May of this year I believe it was, my friend had a code reader he let me borrow and it was throwing out the following codes:

P0103 - Cam Shaft Solenoid

Cam Exhaust

Don't worry about a "tune-up" at this time. Find out what's wrong with it, fix that, then worry about it needing more preventive maintenance...

Have the codes read and report back

P0103 is for the MAF , check it maybe it’s not firmly plugged in.

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0103

could it have been P0301 ?

We can guess or , you could borrow the code reader again.
a set it plugs wouldn’t hurt at this point.
don’t forget the discount code! At RockAuto

I'm sure it is P0013. You need to replace both VVT valves. If you can use a screwdriver you can do it.

A tune up consists of new spark plugs every 100,000 miles get only ACDelco Iridium plugs.

Ive seen bad front wheel bearings make the abs light come on and then go back out. 100,000 is about when they needed replaced on my roomies 2010.

A random P0013 bad VVT valves will cause the TC and service ESC. Yes, could be a wheel hub; while the ABS light is on you can have the ABS codes read it takes a capable reader; that will tell you which one and what.

Charvel has a habit of asking questions then coming back with the same question 6 months later.
