80k tune up?

80k tune up?

My new to me 2006 2.2 lt since 76000 now has 80600 on it. ive just replaced the thermostat and evap solenoid by the evap canister. it has a cel for p0455 and ive done the gas cap and checked the other solenoid and connections so im out of things to check. other than that should I change anything in the near future?

Then you have a damaged or disconnected vapor hose somewhere.
are you sure it's the correct gas cap? Solenoids/valves should not be involved, except for connections.

it came up for my car at autozone and closes tightly so i guess it is. is there any way I can find out where the leak is In my driveway?

First a visual inspection. Looking for damage, bad connections etc.

Has the fuel pump ever been replaced? Could be a poor installation.

A smoke test is the best way. You need a machine and a lift for that.

the shop has smoke tested it and said the evap solenoid was leaking so I replaced it

update, the cel went off after the third evap test run after a cold to full warm up. any tune up suggestions? I think my flex pipe is cracked as my car sounds like a weedwacker under acceleration

EVAP takes "up to 17" cold start cycles to run.

Fix the flex pipe before you die from CO poisoning.

The only "tune up" is new plugs at 100,000. That is all covered on this site as well ad in your Owners Manual.

BTW, cracked flex pipe will cause several different codes, some are EVAP related. Don't be shocked.

I dont smell any exhaust fumes ever so im not sure its that but the repair shop said my air intake tube collapses under throttle which makes no sense and it looks fine. didnt say anything about flex pipe I just know its a commin problem and I have no other issues
