ambient air temp sensor..2006 hhr lt
 

anyone have experience changing out the sensor..?? exactly, how is it attached..??? any idea how you get to the ambient air temp sensor..?? it's located behind the headlight, in the fender, on the right side...do i have to pull the inner fender liner..?? thanks.

ok...here goes.....picked up a new ambient air sensor from autozone.

replaced the stocker only because i questioned some of the outside air readings that i was getting and those readings seemed to lag. anyway.....was a piece of cake to swap out. jacked the front. with thw wheels cut to the right, was able to partially remove the right inner wheel well liner more than enough to get to the sensor which was mounted with a exterior body fastener. now. with the new sensor, get what seems like a much more accurate reading as well as a quick temp change while driving...and, it now matches the 10 or so banks in my area that have temps displayed...............

You must be the only person that the air temp reads the same as any other temp reading...
