ANOTHER sway bar link thread

I skimmed throught the already existing threads on this part, and wanted a final answer. I have an '06 LT with the FE1 "comfort" suspension. Given that info, is the linked sway bar link the one I would have to buy for my particular car? Going with MOOG due to all the recommendations I have read
https://www.amazon.com/Moog-K80252-S...eywords=K80252

Thanks in advance.

Here is the info we have on record in the Parts List thread:

SWAY BAR END LINKS - suggested by Snoopy
** Note: available in 280mm and 330mm lengths (aprox 10" & 12")
- Moog K750012 (9.86" center to center - K80252 (11.80" center to center)
- NAPA 265-1833
- RAYBESTOS 5451624 (281mm) 5451424 (333mm)

If I remember right ours has the FE1 suspension as well - and this is the one I recently ordered - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - Moog K750012 which is the 10" one.

It's best to do a quick measurement to confirm what your currently has.

One of the 4-star reviews says it does not fit HHR with FE1.

The link you posted is actually the one I initially thought I needed but it actually seems to be the one for the FE3 "sport" suspension according to another thread here. The one I posted in the original post is the one suggested to be for the FE1, but now I am getting more confused

How easy can it be? Just go measure the ones on yours and you got it nailed.

FE1=FE3 the only difference I can tell is maybe less air in the tires for FE1. Most replacement parts are "upgrade" to FE3 anyway. For practical purposes the HHR only has 2 NON-interchangeable suspension, FE3 & FE5.

Get K70012, the 10 inch. Most parts books are wrong they will try to sell the 12 inch.

If yours were replaced in a former life chances are they are the WRONG 12 inch part.

I have the Moog K70012 , 10" links, they are great work awesome, easy to grease, and torque to correct mounting nut and stud tightness

Moog k750012

Make sure they are the updated model.

Some people still sell the old model (they have the same part number) but the new one is way better!

I just installed the new models last week to replace the old design and they are way better!

The old one has the boot on the outside and rolls around as it moves with a greasable zerk fitting on the back.

The new one has the boot much more sealed and prevents grease from oozing out like the old ones and the zerk fitting is mounted to the side.

I got mine on amazon and I have an FE3 9.8" bars, amazon shows the picture of the old version but if you buy it fulfilled by amazon it should come in the mail as the new model.

I believe if you look up the part number up on the moog website it says it fits FE1 and FE3, but you can always call them like I did and double check.

PERFECT that's the kind of answer I was looking for. I was looking at the ones you speak of on Amazon but was also concerned about the fitting. Ill try my luck and order them fulfilled by amazon and hopefully things turn out right. This job is overdue by about two years now.
