Wrong. It was always made so that it could be mixed somewhat with dino oil. What it would do when introduced into such an engine is scour out all the deposits in your engine. When I would buy a used car, I would always make the first oil change interval after introducing Mobil 1 a short one; I was always amazed at the crap that would be in the oil filter after the first change, and then never again. I always dissect the oil filter after removal just because I can.....Been a member of the SAE for forty years plus.

Good old oil threads never die lol. Always interesting to read :) I also love MOBILE 1 and in my HONDA/Kawasaki motorcycles MOBILE 1 4XT as they had a wet clutch so no friction modifiers !
Old Swede I agree 110% on Cold weather start up.. In my old 87 F150 with a 302 I switched to Mobile 1. My first time :O Started way easier in the cold. I have been sold ever since !
Nevernotice any MPG gain and did not really care but love the added protection !
When I changed to oil in my bikes it was aalways dark.(normal ) When I switched to synthetic the first change was dark but not as much, and everyone after that was way cleaner looking
So Yes I am sold and use it it mt truck now and HHR

Especially in milk. It's better than Bosco.

Bosco is better than Nestle, because it is made in Amerukah.

For the motorcycles & Mowers, I like Shell Rotella T-4 it has 1,200 ppm of zinc in the blend. Perfect for solid lifter engines like my V-2 Kawasaki mower engine.
