Dealer said at 30,000 clean fuel system?
Ah, the old blinker fluid story. We had a 1997 Acura 3.2 TL that everytime it rained the left taillight assembly would fill up with water. I used that joke on my wife often. I actually drilled a hole in the bottom of the light so it would drain.
Back on topic: I don't see a recommended mileage or interval anywhere for a fuel system cleaning for the HHR. I actually have to equipment to do that, but never had a need to do it on the HHR. I would think that the only time you'd need to clean the injectors, fuel rail, etc. would be if a clogged injector was suspected.

The straight answer is: they use a computerized sheet to recommend services to their customers in an attempt to raise their revenues.
It is their computer, not the one in your car! My dealer recommended flushing the power steering fluid, and got offended when I offered that it was electronic (no fluid).
Stick to the schedule printed in your https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...s-manual-3074/ . Disregard any "suggested" services, required services are a different thing (if it's broke then fix it).
