Hi I just got a 09 HHR LT and the widows don't work at all. Does anybody know were J323 is? I think that is the number in the pic above. Were the dark green wires comes from the front fuse box and split off to the different doors. My problem is that the green wire on the drivers door and passengers door has no power (I used a test light with the key on and checked fuses 17 and 36 and verified I have power to the fuses) I do have power on the drivers door on the yellow wire. The other thing is the drivers power door lock doesn't work and couldn't find power on any wires, and when I checked for power on the passenger side when I put my test light to the white wire on passenger side the doors locked. Not sure if this is related but.
Thanks for the help
Paul
First, before we get all confused did you know about the window lock out button? The stray button on the driver armrest.
J323 is located "In body harness main bundle, approximately 65 cm rear of first breakout"
Do you mean the driver door lock switch does not work or the driver door won't lock/unlock with the fob or the lock all button locks all but the driver door?
The white wire is the signal to the BCM, it is a ground signal. The fact that grounding it locked the door points at a bad switch.
Do all of the door speakers work? Do you hear chimes? Clues to water damage in the door.

First, before we get all confused did you know about the window lock out button? The stray button on the driver armrest. I did tuned it off.
J323 is located "In body harness main bundle, approximately 65 cm rear of first breakout" That doesn't sound pleasant to work on.
Do you mean the driver door lock switch does not work or the driver door won't lock/unlock with the fob or the lock all button locks all but the driver door? Drivers door lock switch doesn't lock or unlock any doors. Passengers door lock switch locks and unlocks all doors including drivers door.
The white wire is the signal to the BCM, it is a ground signal. The fact that grounding it locked the door points at a bad switch. The white wire that I'm talking about is on the passengers door lock wires. Found that all the wires go to ground except the white wire. I get 12v on it, and this is where if I put a test light on it the doors lock (with the switch disconnected and just puttting the test light probe into the connector). On the drivers side all wires go to ground except for the white and that I don't get any voltage.
Do all of the door speakers work? Do you hear chimes? Clues to water damage in the door. The drivers door gets no sound from the speaker, and I don't hear any chimes. The passenger side speaker works fine.
Wow leave it to my luck to have something more than an easy fix.

Do you mean that none of the windows operate from any of the switches on any of the doors?
Thanks for the welcome :)
Yeah none of the windows move, up or down from the drivers door or any of the doors.
The other strange thing I found is that the window wire harness in the drivers door, the green wire that comes from fuse 36 I’m only getting 0.8volts?
The yellow wire in the diagram above says it comes from fuse 17 and it is a 30amp fuse, but in my wiring harness it is a small wire (looks like it is only a 22gage) compaired to the dark green wire that comes from fuse 36 witch is a 30amp fuse also, but the wire is larger (looks like 14gage) than the yellow wire.
Also if I move the drivers door window switch for the passenger window to go up or down then I get 12v on the dark blue wire and then on the brown wire. But the window doesn’t do anything?
The fix is to replace the switches and speakers in the driver door. They are reasonably priced and not that difficult to do. Or, maybe the door has been replaced and the wiring plug is not right.
ALL of the white wires on the door lock switches are signal. The switch goers to ground either by a resistor or a straight connection. The only hot wires in the switches are for the light when they are energized. They don't work like the 80's; the door locks are computer controlled. Probing doesn't do what you think.
The widows seals are crappy; when rain water gets into the doors then warms up water vapor gets into the electronics.

I replaced both side window switches with the same results. Like you said they are reasonably priced and worth trying.

I tried taking the drivers side switch and putting it on the passengers side and vise versa, with the same results (drivers door with other switch will not unlock or lock doors and the passenger side door with drivers switch will unlock and lock all doors.

Well, did you look at the conduit plug on the driver door. Also been known that the wires in the conduit are broken.
Does the mirror control work? Do the buttons light up? Sure sign of door conduit problem.
