Question Driver Sid Front Seat Belt Buckle Replace

Greetings,
I have a 2007 HHR and the buckle on the driver's side front seat buckle stopped working. I have a replacement but I have a couple of questions on replacing it.

1. Can the buckle be replaced without removing the front seat?
2. If you have to remove the front seat does anyone have a "How To" for removing the seat?

Thank you for your time.

2 bolts in the rear, seat tilts up and forward. Look through the "how-to" area, there might be a how-to there, probably on youtube.

"Stopped working"? What exactly does that mean?

Hi WShef, to the forums!!

There are 2 bolts behind the seat, attaching it to the floor. Remove those, tilt seat assembly forward, remove seat.

Which part are you replacing? Here is the exploded diagram.

FYI. You won't need to remove the seat. Just remove the 2 bolts(yellow arrows) then tilt the seat up/forward. You may have to lean the seatback, back some. Place something under the seat to hold it up. You'll then have room to get to the right or left side, depending on which one needs replacing.

If you are speaking if the anchor belt the one by the console, #14 , just slide the seat until it lines up with the cup holder, the second one from the front!
