Hawks or Brembos?

Has anyone on here purchased Hawk break pads?
I don't need to yet but I'm looking to see how much I'll be paying to get new ones. I'm still using the originals right now.

Please don't start another "brand" thread. Get the brand that you or your father or your grandfather or buddy etc has always used with great results. Personally I get the cheapest "Ceramics" that I can find, currently I have 40K on a set that I paid $15 including shipping on ebay (well, it was $30 with a $15 rebate) Monroe brand, I think. And the groove is still showing (about 1/16")!

I am biting the bullet . I am ordering NAPAs best rotors n ceramic pads.

I put ceramics on the 150 and like them so far.

I have had our front brakes checked 2 times for the grinding noise, the shop says they can't see anything wrong. If it costs us $$$ to get great braks it;s worth it.

However we are open to ideas?

thanks

"Grinding upon braking" noise is most likely related to suspension, and "impossible" to narrow down. I get it sometimes, and I have replaced literally everything, I think that best improvement might have come with the replacement of the RF axle. Not sure because that was not my complaint at the time,

We sell Hawk, EBC and Brembo at work. I normally use EBC or Hawk on my cars with very good results. The SS will get Red EBC for low dust when it is time.

Hawk is even local as they are based near me.
