i read in the manual that when cleaning your seats to start from the outside an move inwards, getting the stain out and wetting the entire cushion at the same time, otherwise you end up with the rings.

Sounds like someone got a stain and just scrubbed that spot as hard as they could and the rings dried in.

Don't know how to fix it though, sorry. Just remembered reading it in the manual

yeah, i can't remember exactly what it said, but i'd check it out. Don't know for sure, but maybe if you followed this procedure now, you might be able to make the drying rings lighter, or it could make it worse, that's kind of up in the air.

one of the major reason why i had to have black interior, so much easier to keep "clean". Or to just not do anything to them and it looks clean since it's dark. Downside is dog hair everywhere, but he's not allowed in the new one yet.

A foaming upholstery cleaner from you favorite auto parts store should work, but you do need to do the whole cushion or at least the whole panel at the same time.

Use Resolve. Great for pet stains and anything else. Just used it last night on my HHR where I spilled juice from some meat the week before. Cleaned it perfectly and left no rings.

Well, I have been using "kids-N-Pets" from Wal mart which is the cheapest price and it has take out stains from carpets to hats to my HHR seats. Water and oil.(Pataot Chip) that is out. I just saturate the stain wait five minutes and then blot with a clean white rag, Let dry. Then it usually leaves a ring and I just Go over it with a damp clean white rag and when it dries it is gone! That is, with my cloth seats.

You might try hydrogen peroxide but am not sure if it would be ok on black. I would test first. It is great for spots on clothing and carpet.
