How to replace Turbo Boost Sensor ...

My hhr ss has been loosing boost for the past month or so. The check engine light came on and reads Turbo Boost Sensor. We are thinking that replacing the sensor our boost problems will be resolved? Is this something that is easily accessible? We would like to do the repair ourselves as we work on all of our cars ourselves. This is our first turbo car however!

Replacing the sensor may well not fix the problem. What is the specific code you are getting from the OBDII system? There are three codes that semi-match your reference to "Turbo Boost Sensor", each with different causes and fixes.

And have you used the SEARCH function near the top of the page to look for that specific code?

Like whopper stated, what is the specific code?
If you are losing boost, I'll bet it's NOT the sensor. Most likely that sensor is detecting the low boost problem, and the ECM throws a code because that sensor is the one showing you the problem.
Remember that trouble codes aren't always 100% correct in what they describe. Code numbers are not a definite "This is exactly what's broke". They are there to help point you in the right direction so you can do a diagnosis.
Sounds like you need to do a leak check on the system.

First question. Do you have the GM turbo upgrade(GMTU) ?
Yes or no, give this thread a read.

I did a search here for P0237. There are a couple threads related that seem to point towards the lower Tmap sensor.
I'm not saying yes or no if that's your problem, but those threads may help you figure it out.
