K&N Oil filter?

I'll be using one on this oil change, but I was curious if any of you guys have used them before. And yes, I do mean an OIL FILTER, not an AIR FILTER, or an OILED AIR FILTER.

I use them on my LS1 vehicles, the "Gold" Series, has a 1" hex on it to use a socket to take it on and off

granted, our cartridge filter wont have that, but they seem to be a good filter for me.

I sell KNN, Fram and AC Delco and I just use the Delco.

None are bad all are good and if anything goes wrong GM can not use the filter against me. Just my take on it.

I bought one for my next oil change. I got it at the K&N web site..rather pricey IMHO. I've used Fram in the past. I'm using Mobil 1 10-30 oil. The car gets 7-10,000 miles between oil changes according to DIC down to 30%.

The SS manual calls for 5w-30 synthetic.

Old Lar doesn't have an SS, but should still be using 5W30, just doesn't have to use synthetic.

No need to cut it open. Just open the lid of the box it comes in... and look down.
