Exclamation Need some input: ways to keep coolant cool

so here's a break down of the car:
my SS has 174k miles an i recently had it for about 15k miles. plans are timing chain and tensioner in the very near future along with waterpump. for now with the 100*+F temps i noticed with the AC on full blast after stop and go and hitting boost that the coolant temp reaches 220-225*F and stays around there. i read that other members their coolant temps dont go that high but stays under 200*F at the 100*F ambient temps. i was thinking about flushing the dexcool thats in there as i have no idea when it was last serviced plus i read that dexcool has a 5 yr life before it starts breaking down? i cleaned the condenser with garden hose of any debris. what other methods can i do to get the coolant temps down to around 200*F ion these hot weather? thanks in advance.

Does it have all the shrouds and air dams in place as well as the underside splash shield. ALL this MUST be in place for proper cooling at those temperatures.

Hmm interesting I'll have to check as I don't remember if I kept it or removed it when I upgraded the intercooler.

Does the fan run? I'm thinking yes, or it would be running hotter than that.

Fan does run. So according to the Pic, I removed number 13 when I went and swapped intercooler

DexCool has a 5 year shelf life regardless of use or mileage.
Does the fan run correctly? The SS has a variable speed fan controlled by a PWM module.
Have you looked under the pressure cap to make sure the coolant is full? The recovery bottle is not a reliable indicator.

maybe a coolant flush is due then. Fan runs correctly as I recently had to replace the whole fan and module assembly. Coolant is full to the brim.

Coolant 50/50 Dexcool and a new AC Delco 131-158 thermostat are a start! Check out the fan relay

If the coolant is full and the fan is running there is something wrong in the circulating, either an obstruction or the pump. No fan it would get much higher, 225F is not quite in the danger zone, that is very close to boiling under 15 PSI.
