oil filter wrench??

I have'nt been under my new 2010 2.4 yet but will be changing the oil soon, I understand that a "special tool" is required for the oil filter removal..by chance, does anyone have any pics of the tool needed...any help is appreciated.

Just a 32 mm or 1-1/4 socket.

Advance Auto parts carries them...... It's just a socket, but short.

PS: Oil filter cartridge is Under the hood, not under the car.

I just did mine yesterday... 1 1/4 inch socket, and a swivel adapter makes it much easier.

The 2.4L has the tightest clearance for the socket. Due to the bigger Intake manifold.. I use the Shorty socket & a 5" extension..

When putting the in new cartridge, I like to first oil up the O-rings, especially the Big one, (see Pic) so it doesn't get chaffed during install or tightening.
Hand tighten till it seats, less chance to cross thread the plastic cap..
Then put the socket set-up on & snug it tight.

You still gotta git under there to remove the drain plug..
