An overfull tank is worse than underfull; there is a "full" line it is hard to see. If there is too much the mass is too much for the pressure to overcome.

Thanks. I looked in the owners manual and it showed that level mark. Yes it is hard to actually see but I set it at that level as you indicated.

Wut? I don’t understand that. I think the opposite is true.

If the coolant recovery tank is too full, as the hot coolant expands in the system, the excess is ejected through the pressures cap and will simply overfill the tank and the excess will spill to the ground via the overflow tube. If it’s too low, the shrinking coolant could draw all the coolant from the tank and then start drawing air.

Holding your phone flashlight against the tank makes the coolant level easy to see.
