Question relative to transmission fluid

My point is: if you ask the guy at the counter what to get he will look in the book and it says Dex III and ignore the footnote that says GM changed the recommendation to Dex VI for all modern automatic transmissions.

Ok... and for a fluid change there is no contraindication about mixing Dex III with Dex VI ? My HHR is 2007 so it is currently using Dex III right ?

Ok so question can I start my HHR even though there is no tranny fluid in it cause don't you have to have it running when u put it in?

I pour in 3 to 4 quarts , then start it up and put it through all shift points to open and close solenoids, with my foot firmly on the brake pedal, then pour in the rest of the 7 quarts. This ensures it fills up and let’s out air pockets, I then take it for a slow drive around the block, then double check for leaks.

So should I get the dex 6 cause I just saw that I got the 3!!!
