XOM only offers warranty for 5000 miles.

Premium synthetics are much higher than $3.80 a quart

Yeah, Royal Purple is $7.29 a quart. Just don't think it's worth it to me. With 56k or so on the clock, I'll probably stick to conventional.

Anyone know what happened to the Mobil 10000 & 15000 oil?

When I read reviews about this pennzoil stuff it looked good, but it doesn't like my car.

I pay $8.65 per quart for Amsoil 0W30. That is DEALER price, with recommended resale at over $11 per quart. Unlike Mobil's BS warranty of 5000 miles, Amsoil suggests a drain interval of up to 1 year or 35,000 miles. If you do the math, the Amsoil works out cheaper. The funny thing about Amsoil customers is they are usually the cheapest guy on the block, but using the most expensive oil.
PS I'm also a big fan of Mercedes Benz anti-freeze. Long life, no corrosion

Wow, an Amsoil fanboy slamming XOM... imagine that. Newsflash: the 5000 mile warranty is on MC5000 which is a conventional, not a synth.

Ok, so where did the 10K, !%K Mobil brands disappear to? Why does Exxon warranty for only 5000 miles, when your OLM may indicate between 7500 to 10000 miles? Keep feeding XOM they need more profits.

Like Amsoil doesn't....to support their "pyramid" products?

Oh and by the way...when I needed to buy Amsoil for a project, I paid about $2.00 less than you. But that is the American Capitalist way.

Amsoil's multi-level marketing has held them down. Just look where Royal Purple is today. I also paid $2 less, as prices have just recently jumped on all the products. What grade did you buy?
Also no other company on earth had such record profits, while Americans are struggling, and trying to choose between buying gas and feeding their families.

99 cents for Royal Purple on closeout from AutoZone. I mix up my oils all the time with no rhyme or reason..whatever I can hoard or get uber cheap or free I'll throw in there...my 2.2 ran the nuts with Pennz Plat in there..my UOA from Blackstone confirmed that I could have run it much longer than the 7300 miles I had it in there.

Right now I have some Shell Formula 5W30 I bought at Wally World a year or so ago when it was like a buck a quart........so far so good....I sure as hell hope so as I have a few more quarts to plow through for the next change

Mobil, SOPUS, whoever...they are all making tons of cash..gotta admit that the Amsoil oil way of doing things is pretty weird and creepy...I'll stay away
