Tire rotation
Tire rotation
After the low tire air signal came up and adding air to the wrong tire I found out that when I had my car serviced they rotated the tire BUT did not reset the the tire location example front left came up as front right.. The Mechanics forget about "chirping the tires" at each rotation.
Theoretically, as per the Owners manual, the fronts get rotated to the same side rear, and the rears get swapped to the opposite side on the fronts. Not a big deal in my opinion, but interesting. :)
Unless you have tires with directional tread, then it has to be front to rear/rear to front same side.
As mentioned, I would return to whoever serviced the vehicle and remind them of the lack of due diligence. If they insist it is an additional charge, tell them to forget it and you will take your car for future services to a more professional facility that provides a complete service.
Go home and initiate the reprogram yourself. No tools required other than an air gauge and a source for compressed air. It is in your Owners Manual. If you do not have one, you can review or download it from this forum.
Read, read it again, simulate the "repair".....then use the manual to do it. After successfully doing it once, it's easy to do it from memory next time.
