After all afternoon, grounding I lost my grouind at the light end. guess the lights themselves must need to be grounded also.

3157 should work the same reguardless which way you push it in. 1157 is keyed and should only go in one way. Long Life would have an LL at the end, it 3157LL

they just wired it wrong. I hardly ever use my daytime running lights. and I tow a teardrop trailer lots, meaning about 36,000 miles so far.

My problem was a grounding issue on the trailer.

fixed it on the weekend, and have hauled it around all week since.

well that cleared up two things, the grounding issue and the difference between 1157, round based push and twist bulbs and 3157 push in spade bulbs, oh 3 things, LL for long life. LOL Happy to hear the issue is fixed.
