Where Is Fuel Pump Pass Through Connector

2011 LS and I'm on the side of the road due to a REDUCED ENGINE POWER issue. Found a post suggesting a permanent solution. Claims corrosion in the "fuel pump pass through connector". It's dark so don't intend to crawl under the car now but I'm not seeing what he's described. Can someonee tell me exactly where it is? Pics would help a ton.

Well, the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank, so I would guess that connector is where the harness passes through the grommet on the top of the tank. If you link to the post you're referring to, might help understand what you're looking for.

I never heard of such a thing. What happened before the message? Did it over heat?

There's numerous causes for the reduced engine power message. The check engine light should be illuminated as well, you need to get the codes read to make any meaningful diagnosis.

All FP test wires I've seen are under the hood for the manufacturers that use them.

BTW Limp mode. Does it run but just in third gear? If so the pump is working.

Was running great and suddenly check engine light and reduced power. I thought the cat/con had collapsed and blocked the exhaust, but nope, not it. After lett8ng the car sit it fired right up but the condition returned.

No overheat or any other prior issues.

I pulled codes and got a single code I never saw bfore. I didn’t write it down because it was useless. It said, “general engine fault”. I kid you not. It showed on my fancy code reader. Gonna pull codes again tomorrow on my cheap one and see what I get.
