Yay or Nay? Change Transmission Fluid?

267,000 miles, still has original transmission fluid. Would like to change it (drain and fill) but kind of hesitant after this long. Transmission works fine, very rarely I'll feel a very slight "slip" but not often. Fluid level is currently good and old fluid still looks surprisingly good. Still red and still pretty clear. What do y'all think?

Change it, and the fluid filter, replace the gasket with GM gasket, do not use the cheap flat rubber, they leak

It is a very easy job. A little messy if your dont have a large oil catch pan.. I did it at 155k as soon as I purchased the car. no slips, shifts great.

Technically, the fluid is "lifetime" unless you use the car for livery.
Change it with Dexron VI if you want to. Early 2006 models came with Dexron III but GM upgraded the recommendation.

Don't flush & fill at that mileage.
