I need a set of “factory” control arms with good? Ball joints for cheap if possible. I would rather buy from a group member instead of a junkyard. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. God bless all. Stay safe and healthy.
I don't know if this will work for you. I was told that some people are afraid of Chinese sellers (although the prices are very attractive).
But nonetheless: https://aliexpress.ru/item/400127864...00015581690267
Shipping is free, at least in Russia
The control arms in the picture I would trust. I bought an “aftermarket” steel set that I just found out flex too much and don’t hold up to the weight of our cars. Also the place that I bought my kit from must’ve used faulty ball joints from the get go because mine are completely shot after less than a year and only driven over smooth recently repaved roads. I would like to find out more information about the ones in the link provided but I can’t read it because of it being in a foreign language. Does anyone have it in English? Thanks for everything group. You’re the best.
In turn, I can not enter the English version of Aliexpress from Russia. But I translated for you with the help of Google.
9915 rubles is approximately 142 USD. I can see from the picture that it might ship to the US.
I wrote to the seller asking if he would send the parts to you and how much it would cost. Until he answered. When he answers, I'll let you know.
yes, it right
a little more than 100 dollars, but there is free shipping to the United States
I still regret that the American market is now closed to me, although ... shipping to my porch would still cost good money and would gobble up all the savings.
the seller answered me
reported parts cost 163.57 usd per pair including shipping,
in light of what Oldblue writes, it will be $40 more expensive than Ebay.
How many thousand pairs do you think they can fit in a 40 foot conex that costs $8800 to ship from China to the US? So, buying from a US vendor is always cheaper than paying individual shipping from a foreign country, even with import duties.
Manufacturing cost for highest quality is probably around $3 a unit.
Shipping to US around $.008
Import duty about $6.00
Warehousing in the US about $0.00009
equals profit $90 per arm.
They can afford free shipping.
I don't know how you could determine "quality" before buying and using, certainly not by price.
Yes, but I have seen plenty of complaints about cheap LCA's than fail quickly, even the ball joints wearing out soon. This is why only a high-quality LCA assembly is a good option to avoid the extra work of replacing just the failed components. Otherwise, you're throwing away an OEM ball joint that may have lasted the life of the car and replacing it with junk.
