Anyone in the Chicagoland area, Who wants to join the Convoy, Please pick a Jump-in point along the Route.
I`m / We`re leaving Chi. around 8-ish,taking the 57 to the 80.
From there , it`s either the 55 south to Chenoa or continue west to the 39.
If we go to the 39, we`ll hit Chenoa from there. then go west to Peoria.
If you have a Jump-in spot close to or along the route, we can pull-in and wait for a few minutes, like a pitstop. But not unreasonably long because there`s someone else at they`re Jump-in spot waiting too.
Please estimate the time/speed factor when choosing a spot.
I think the speed limit once we get out of Chi. is 65mph.
We`ll try to stay at that speed for safety/gas conservation, and general time calculations.
Remember, we`re trying to stay together on our route. I`ve got (4) walkie-talkies, to comunicate car to Cruck (I just like to say that ),so if anyone has a problem ,We`ll all pull over , see if we can correct the problem, and possibly go ahead or send someone to meet other members waiting .
I don`t know if anyone wants to use they`re cel. to let us know you`re waiting/changed plan, etc. Got a couple days to work out little bugs..

BB, just a point of correction, I-39 will not get you to Chenoa, but US 24 from Chenoa crosses I-39 at ElPaso. And, you will be coming through my town, Eureka.

 

and if you go past 39 to 251 we will get back on 80 and go to rt 180 south which turns into 29 and takes us straight to chillicothie to meet deerman. 180 is about 6 miles west of where i am at (peru) just a heads up this is a few extra miles for you guys from chicago but a large part of the rt im takin is very scenic and runs along the river lots of trees, nature and such, BB if you guys opt for the shorter rt i completly understand with gas prices or just the idea of grabbing of stragglers along the way!! LOL Deerman this is the route ill be takin so i`ll call you from that lil one horse town about 15 minutes north of henry ok later!!

 

I told you Guy`s ... I`m a Big City boy. I`m counting on Oldschool to get me/us to Peoria. Looking at my route map, I thought 39 connected to something/somewhere.!!!
I`m coming down the 80 to where ever I`m meeting Oldschool. ( there I`ve said it) I`m lost already...

Hey 'school do you have the Chicagolanders squared away? I can't have Beauty and the guys lost in a corn or bean field...If there is any questions let me know and I can walk 'em in if you aren't avaliable...Hey I am filling goodie bags tonight, writing the soponsor sheets tomorrow, setting all of the rest of the stuff up Wednesday night...oh yeah and I took next friday off to clean my "Cruck"...Beauty I think I am stealing your term, I like it !!!...I refer to teh baby as a truck now...

 

ok BB 39 dose cross over 80 but you go past that and past one more exit and my exit is the one after that, its the exit for 251 north to mendota when you come to the end of the off ramp there is a stop light you turn right (north) there and go to the very next light(about 50 feet) where you turn left (west) and you will see mc donalds and shell from there no problem!! i will be sitting in the large open parkin lot in my orange 2lt with the woody kit (you cant miss it unless your blind) just call my cell when you go by the exit for the town of morris on 80 and i will be at the designated with time to spare!! i can get us to chillicothe no problem and we can hook up with Deerman there. if you leave at 8 you should be at my exit around 9:30 -10:00 oclock depending on speed and potty breaks!!I`ll make sure im there buy 9 just to be safe!! pm me a cell number if you can BB or if you have any questions at all!!

 

That`s a BIG 10-4 , Still awaiting replies from Smithers, Chitownmike, and Flamedhhr. PM`d them (3) times. Maybe they`re not interested? So far it`s B/B, Z-Man, Novadiecast, and OldschoolFreak, headed for Peoria.

Wish I could join you all, but I will be attending the Hampshire car show on Sunday.
