Entries for the "Mid-Central Ride of the Month" for November 2006

The run at Starved Rock, JC Witneys , none of that has anything to do with the requirements to enter the RIDE of the MONTH contest. That`s a ONE TIME event. We`re talking about a MONTHLY event. Nova, Pizza, didn`t enter their Rides last month. I can`t speak for them, but I would think it was because they felt that the rules didn`t allow them to enter. I`m sure if I`m wrong they`ll say so. You on the other hand, just don`t get it.
Now you don`t even remember there were any rules... You obviously would vote for some one out of spite, rather than do so honestly because they have the best ride. I don`t want mad votes. I want honest votes...
PS, Bad rules are bad rules. I`ve never been against rules, if I see something is wrong I point it out. Of course you have to know right from wrong, good , bad....

Not one person cared enough to make a single comment. So I did what I thought was fair. And I'm sorry but what's the point of having a "Mid-Central Ride of the Month" anyway if anybody can enter?

BTW, I eliminated myself from the contest since I'm already the site's featured car so I already don't care who wins.

RUDEINC, technically you're not in the Mid-Central, Indiana is part of the Mid-East I think. I don't wanna be the one to say you can't enter but........
You do have an exceptional looking ride though!
What about putting together a spread in the Pictures and Video thread for the sites featured car? They should be choosing a new one soon. Mine's been featured for a couple months now.

There again you`re talking about the Run. This thread is about the Ride of the Month.
Mike and Bonnie live in the region, had someone from outside the region had more mods they might have won. Pat never said it was restricted to MID-CENTRAL, he ran the contest. The R.O.M. on the other hand was always a M-C "only" thing. We even checked with the administators before proceeding.
It was an established rule.

What the hell is wrong with all of us that for a short time we were going at it again! Can't we do anything without all of the drama?
I'm sorry to all, especially Tony and Mark.
I had no idea that an idea as simple as a photo contest could get people so riled!
I'm done discussing this. I think the guidelines were/are fair. They will not change. I understand that some will think this isn't fair. I'm not trying to be unfair, just the opposite.

Staying away isn`t the answer Mike, when I sat back and watched, my silence was counted as a vote of approval.
We all know the rules, Without rule you have Chaos. People willing to look the other way or bend this rule or that rule , is why we`re in the mess we`re in , in this country. Like I said, I`m not the nicest guy, and probably because I know what happens when you`re so nice you can`t say no. "NO GOOD DEED GOES UN-PUNISHED"

But this thread has gotten so out of control I'm shutting it down. I'll start a new thread for November. I'll PM those concerned so they can re-enter if they choose. I will be asking Rude to re-enter since I had already said it was okay.
Be advised though, that this is a region thing. One of the reasons we were allowed to do this was because it was specific to the region. That was the deal. And as I said before,
We'll do it all over again each month until we get tired of it.
