Lightbulb An idea: like it, love it, or hate it?

An idea: like it, love it, or hate it?

Please remember this is just one person's idea. Doesn't matter to me what y'all think about it. I know some will like, some will love, and some will hate.

After doing a bunch of talking with Tony/oldschool, and going through forum posts, this is what it looks like is going on with events being planned now.
(If any of these are wrong please let me know.)

These are my thoughts on this.

I don't think we should try to schedule two multi-day major events during the same time frame. Because of this I propose that the event that me and Bonnie put together be planned as the 3rd Annual Show & Shine for 2008. This would allow us all to help Pat, if needed, on getting the 2007 Big Run on track and make sure it is a huge success. (Pat please know I'm not trying to horn in on the great work/effort you've already done. )

This would give us a national to work on and have our 3rd Annual planned. Yes, some of you may have noticed, this leaves us with no 2nd Annual Mid-Central Show & Shine. The first one was so fun I think that we need to keep this tradition going even if there is a national event. It can still be done on the regional scale. What I suggest is, assuming they are willing, having the spring or fall 2007 run be our 2nd Annual event. It will mean a little more work but I think we could pull it off.

This way we could have our cake and eat it too! And I LOVE cake!

I don't think there is any conflict between the two spring events being planned. If Robin & Bob are willing, I think since theirs is farther west, it would be a good choice for the 2nd Annual. (I'm not trying to take anything away from The Pizza Factory run, I love pizza and plan on attending, the other is just more central.) Either that or someone could plan a fall event and that could be the annual event for 2007.

That's it, I've had my say.

Like it, love it, or hate it. Its just some ideas I've come up with.

All I ask is to try to be respectful when replying. As my daddy used to say, "ya gotta give respect, to get respect!"

Looks like we are startin to move in the right direction!!! looks like some good plans to me Mike!! we can all discuss things on the 21st and move on with dates from there!!! I am glad to see democracy is still alive in the mid central!!! I think its all about calm even headed communication!!! thanx Mike

One other thing i dont think Pat wants to call it a National thing just an annual or run or get to gether with open invitation to any one!! I dont think it really matters what any are called as long as we all get together for fun and Grub!!!
