Ok as of now we have 10 ready to go for the 27th of Sept. I have been talking to the Weston Chamber of Commerce now I need to talk to the city. I will be talking to a couple of business at the legends area for a hook up location.

 

A nice scenic drive close to Legends is the loop around Wyandotte County Lake. It is a very scenic two lane black top that goes around the lake with lots of good places to get some great photos of the HHR's.

For those not familiar with it the entrance is off of Highway 5 just east of the Woodlands Race track. Depending on time etc. it might be fun to drive around it before heading to Weston.

 

That can be done and if the weather is right the leaves will be changing as well

 

AKA Leavenworth Road. Haven't driven around that lake since high school days!!

 

When I moved to KC in 1985 Wyandotte County Lake was one of the places we would take our motorcycle as it is a fun scenic drive. I had not been back there in years until this fall and I decided to go check it out again to take pictures of the fall colors. It is a really pretty place when the leaves are changing, etc. I will try and post a link to those pictures later on for those that are not familar with it. There are also some stone buildings, etc that could make for good backdrops for photos of HHR's.

 

Cruse Route
Leavenworth Rd East to 91st St Wy. County Park bear right Follow east drive. Many photo ops on the way take 91st south to Leavenworth rd west on Leavenworth road to 7 Hwy. Right on 7 Hwy. to Leavenworth
At Metropolitan and 7 Hwy. make a right in bottoms bear left to 92 Hwy
Take left on 45 Hwy north to JJ Left on JJ to Main St
Take Main St to end of street. Time in Weston. about 3 hours.
Head back to JJ take right When at 45 Hwy go straight across road turns into 273
At T take right Take I-29 south to Tiffany Springs. Go right then go left on outer road. to traffic circle,go to stop light take left. Follow HHR in front to BBQ Place

Don't know the area, but it sounds great. I'm up for any kind of get together. It will take us just shy of 2 hours to get to Legends shopping center.

 

Ok every one how about a name for this group I was thinking "Heartland HHR's"
