My a/c problem

The dealer called me twice today. The figured out what's wrong (a/c hose leak). Then they called to say the part is on back order (7 to 10 days). The sales guys said we need this fixed now. So the service department took the hose off the parts truck and put that on my SS. So I can pick it up tomorrow but now I feel like it's used. I think I'm going to ask that when the new hose comes in they call me and they can swap in the new one. Am I being picky? Should I just suck it up and take the used hose?

No, not at all. Consider this, I would get it in writing that the hose they used is covered for as long as a "new" one would be. They have to contend with recharging your system again if they put another hose on. Playing ball with the dealer certainly goes a long way.

I agree with Don. It's the same as a new one the way you drive it will last you a long time and they have to enter it in the Computer, I wish you as much luck as I have had with mine. :twothumbs I have had mine now for 28 months and I am going on 80k and running great, I put on 153 miles a day.

later

I would suck it up and wait a week for the new hose to come in. It's an A/C hose and you're better off waiting for the new part to come in rather than use a hose that's been pulled off another vehicle in used condition.
