Near miss while driving in Texas

while driving down I-35 south of Waco I was nearly sideswiped and I took the shoulder. There I found loose gravel on the shoulder and went into a 360 degree spin at 65 miles an hour on dry pavement. Amazing how the Night Train responded. It staid upright and was able to pull out of spin and continue with the drive to Austin. Yes it scared the begezzers out of me but because of my driving skill ( luck) nether I nor Night Train suffered any serious damage but will have to have tires checked since I did notice some sidewall rub on them from the spin.
feeling very lucky and more secure about driving this car.

I thought you were going to post that you were somehow caught up in that police pursuit today. Glad to read that you are ok.

1 week after buying my HHR i hit a snow bank where a someone was plowing a driveway and the plowed the snow to the medium and left two snow banks. I hit them at like 55mph and did a complete 360 and recovered and just kept going, it was like i was in a movie lol.

Hey it sounds like you were using your EVOC training if you received it as a F/F. It is very hard to recover that type of spin out when using Hand over Hand Steering. Great Job and you had to have your seat belt on in order to recover your Spin Out.

Great Job
