I am planning a G2G in the Quad Cities for Saturday April 21st. For those who do not know where the Quad Citites are located~we are right where Interstate 80 crosses the Mississippi River from Illinois into Iowa! The Quad Cities is comprised of Moline, East Moline and Rock Island from the Illinois side and Davenport and Bettendorf on the Iowa side. (And I know, that 5 cities and that's a whole 'nother story!)

I have been in contact with the Cordova Dragway Park and want to get an idea of how many will plan to attend. Here's why!

Sat. April 21st is their Spring Fun Day. Gates open at 11, Racing is noon-4. There is open racing for anyone. Test-n-tune is $15 for car and driver. Trophy is $20 for car and driver. General admission is $8 for adults and kids (6-12) are $3. My contact said that if we have more than 10 racers they will run a seperate race just for us! We could also have our own lane for time trials. If you're interested in a trophy it's $20 but if you don't want a trophy but want to race in eliminations it's only $10.

I would also like to know f there would be any intereset in doing a dinner/dance cruise on a Mississippi Riverboat? Cost is $38.45 each. Or, would you just like to go to like a Maid-Rite?

The specifics of where we will meet and what time aren't quite final yet but I promise that as soon as they are I will let everyone know.
