For those of you on the South Side

VictorySpark08,

I may have to make a trip up there. I am with you on the Sonic. I have relatives in Tennessee and for Fast Food they are much better than any McDonalds or BurgerThing out there. They have a good variety of everything.

According to my town's little newsletter we are supposed to get a Sonic in Lockport too. Ever since the I-355 extension businesses and restaurants have been pupping up like weeds around here. They are building a huge Strip Mall right by the Tollway and I am told (by reading it in the newsletter) that there will be a Sonic sometime in 2009.

Now I am off to look up that new Sonic as if it is not too far away I may be heading up there this weekend. Before the closest one to me was like in Decatur or Champaign or something.

That's cool, a little past my time in the area though. I went to PC West. You'd be amazed at the number of housing editions that have gone up in the Westmore area. $300K-$400K houses for the most part.

No doubt. I went back a year ago for my reunion and it was insane how much that area has grown. They're opening a new high school in Moore this year called Southmoore. The thing is $300k-$400k buys a lot of house in OKC.

I think I knew some people who went to PC West too. Good football team, although in OK and TX, everyone has good football. It isn't fall without football.

My wife and I went to Aurora last saturday to give the new Sonic a once over. Our plans quickly changed after getting there and seeing the "staging area" 2.5 hour wait for a stall. 1 hour wait for walk up. We scrapped the Sonic plans and went to the Walter Paytons Roundhouse instead. I guess it will take some time for the hype to die down and then we will try it again.

hmmmm, that is really interesting. No hypes here for the Sonics but man you can't get near an In-An-Out when one opens.

The one that opened in the north area of the valley was a "stand alone" building in the front of a giant parking lot for Home Depot, I believe. HD complained because all the lunch traffic was blocking the parking lot. In and Out had to erect traffic cones (with uniformed security) and you did the zig-zag like the banks do for customer waiting. Must have been 300 cars for the drive thru.
