STL - We're planning a cruise / picnic / tour of Meramec Caverns
Oh my god.. this was hilarious..
I'm sure you guys noticed all the S10s running around the campgrounds. Just so happened the s-series nationals were there the same day.
I have 2 s10s,but we ended up not taking either one. Instead we took the HHR. When we arrived Friday night one of my buddies jokingly said "the HHR-fest is down the road"
Saturday morning I look up on the entrance road and here comes a line of HHRs. I give my buddy a funny look and say "i thought you were joking" he says "I thought I was too"
If you saw the red hhr parked down by the river campsites with the caved in back hatch that was ours, but I spent most of the weekend riding around in my friends s10 which is the poster truck for our forum. www.v8s10.org you might have saw it.
Just got home from up there and thought i'd do a quick forum search to see if that was anybody from this site in that group.

OK, it really is a small world! We did see it! Remember it from the 3-bar grill. Not sure about all the S-10's, we saw maybe 6-8! We talked to the kid that had the blue v-8 and he was a bit disappointed in that not many S-10's were there. You should have stopped by to say "Hi". You're welcome to show up at any of our events when you feel like leaving the V-8 at home to save gas!
BTW - here's a pic of my buddies, should of had him bring it down!

Wish I could have made this one! I was transferred back up to Liberty a couple months ago and have pretty much been too busy to check out the forum until this last week. Looks like a good time to be had by all. Will have to catch up with y'all again sometime later.

Yep, we walked over and talked to some of the S-10 owners as well. We saw your HHR and kept saying "the guy did a 3-bar grill mod so we know he is a fan of customizing HHRs" and hoped if you drove by, you would have stopped by and joined us. We thought you knew about our Gateway HHR picnic and was looking for us when we first saw your HHR.
You're welcome to join us anytime you like. Be sure to visit our www.STLHHRs.com for more upcoming events or just check us out on here.
Hope next time you can come over and party with us.

Great to see all made it home okay... We saw Mike (Harley Davidson panel) on the way back with another HHR on his tail going back home east on Highway 44.
Excellent time was had by all. Always great to get together with everyone! Cool custom HHRs, excellent friends to pass the afternoon with and the picnic food was awesome.
Angie still can't believe she came inches away from stepping on that water moccasin in the Meramec River only seconds after telling me to watch for snakes. I think she was running on top of the river when she saw that.
We need to keep her away from water at any upcoming HHR events. At least she didn't jump in the river with her cell phone like last time.
