I agree 100%. She was in a hurry and backed up before looking to see where our car was...She has been a couple bad accidents (not her fault) and each time we were thankful she was not hurt!!

I feel for you,but I know what its like, please don't be to hard on your teens. We were all young at one time or another. My Daughter did the same to me on my other vehicles. I was just happy that no one was hurt. I have been very lucky and I hope you are as well. I know it hurts but we must do one thing that hurts us the Most. Give your teen a Big Hug and say its Okay at least no one got hurt and that You are going to pay for that in one way or another. Bless you your family and your Ride(HHr)

Zman....No problem the only words that came out of my mouth was SOB....that was it. Yelling is not going to fix the car. It was an accident and yelling at her was not going to fix it. Now the speed that she hit the car at is another story. She was probably 20' from the car and if she would slow down while backing up maybe the damage would have been less. I believe she knew that so I never mentioned anything to her...

That and the fact my wifes co-workers started teasing her was probably enough :-)

The worse thing is $1000 to repair, I have $500 deductable and since insurance is a big scam, I am going to eat the other $500 so the buttheads (use whatever bad word you want here) do not raise her rate even more.

How much extra do you think they would charge you for a two tone? Prehaps you can do something a bit different for a few extra bucks?
