2009 C.P. III Meet?!?
#22
Chris and I are handing over planning of C.P. III to Jeff (jeffs396). He was very helpful to the event this year and this will allow us to partake in some other things for 2009. If you are interested in helping with planning C.P. III be sure to send him a pm

Yep, I've got some really big shoes to fill...These two are the best planners! Any ideas, suggestions, dates that work/don't work for everyone, please post or send me a PM. Would like to try & coordinate our event along with a large car/truck event (like Super Chevy), but the Norwalk event will probably be in july...no schedule yet...alot of us want to attend the nationals in Branson next july, so a different month may work better for everyone. Thoughts?

i've had good luck with CP early on in the season before the majority of kids gets out of school and in the fall when they go back. Both times it's a little cooler outside which makes it really nice.
Although i know that causes problems with pretty much anyone who has kids at school, but young guys like me with no kids in the "plans" for the next few years, it works out great.

I like the idea of a fall meet too! And Jeff, you will do a fantastic job! And Jeff, it would be great to see you (and everyone else too) in Branson next year for Nationals! Not that I'd be any help from here, but let me know if there's anything I can do to give you a hand!

I'll go to Cedar Point anytime... you all probably know that.
Only problem with an early or late date is that the park isn't open as late... for those of us that come for the roller coasters that's only a small issue anyways.
If you need any help that can be done from Chicagoland, let me know!

Although not a "large" event, how about checking out what the local show scene is. Driving through town, on the way back to the park from the winery, there was a small show of some classics just starting up. Unfortunatley the rain drove them off before many of them arrived.
Manage to get a few pics of the local flavor.........
